open cueB
Especially for my South London friends a new group show starting this Friday night 22nd February and running until the end of March.
I visited cueB and Brockley for the first time today. A nice little venue attached to a very popular cafe the Brockley Mess in a lovely part of town. I'm dashing back from Sunderland for this so hope to see some of you there.

Diffraction
A new group show starting this weekend. I'm showing three pieces. One larger piece having it's first outing.
See you there.
See you there.
New Studio
I have been particularly quiet of late. More so than normal. This is partly but mostly because I've moved into a brand spanking new studio down in Kingston Upon Thames hosted by the good people of ASC. I already feel at home there and new work is merging with older work very nicely now that I have enough space to spread the paintings around a bit and see how they all sit together. Being that bit further away from home and having to sort of commute to the studio makes all the difference so here's to a productive few months ahead.

OPEN STUDIOS
I'll be opening up my home and studio to all next weekend and the one following as part of the London Borough of Richmond's ARThouse event.
If you'd like more information on this event and the other artists involved here's the link http://www.richmond.gov.uk/arthouse_open_studios .
Hope to see you round my place for tea and biscuits at some point.

The Other Studio part two
I finished painting for the week late last night. Probably when you were all tucked up with your malty drinks. I do have another thirty or so hours here but I need time for it all to dry enough to transport back home. I'll do some more collage work today and I have to practice clay model for a couple of the art workshops I'm hosting over the summer. I may even go for a really decent walk this afternoon if the weather holds. There may even be a pub or two at the end of it.
I've put a few pictures up for your scrutiny below. None are finished pieces. It's mostly groundwork at the moment - I'll add the next layer and maybe some finer details in a few days when this layer is dry. And they may of course change completely.

collage in action
the one about a traditional folk dance that gets out of hand
the one about an alpine village experiencing an incident
the one about a disco on a cruise ship
the one about secret swimming and sirens
the one about the lido
the one about a jam jar with some flowers in it
